On a Clear Day, You Can See the World Below in Perfect Detail
Hello,
This is Tetsuya Miyazaki, manager of Fujikan at the summit.
On a clear morning at the top of Mount Fuji, when the air is crisp and the sky is cloudless,
the moment you step outside, the view takes your breath away.
Beneath your feet lies the red volcanic earth.
Beyond it stretches an endless sea of green forest.
Farther still, towns, the ocean, and even the distant horizon come sharply into view.
It feels as if a giant map of the world has been unfolded before your eyes.
At an altitude of about 3,740 meters,
this is the closest place to the sky in Japan.
In the quiet of the summit, with only the sound of the wind,
looking down upon the world far below
is a deeply moving experience you simply cannot have in everyday life.
“So this is how high I’ve climbed.”
That realization slowly fills your heart.
If you make only a day trip,
it is difficult to witness such a crystal-clear morning.
Only those who stay overnight at the summit
have the chance to see the world below in such stunning clarity.
The sunset, the sky full of stars,
and the pure morning that arrives after the silent night—
Staying at Fujikan is not just about reaching the summit.
It is about experiencing the time that flows at the top of Mount Fuji.
We warmly invite you
to wake up at the highest place in Japan.
We look forward to welcoming you at the summit.
